Welcome JH Glaze ‘Author 2 Author’ Blog Chat. Thanks
so much for stopping by, please make yourself at home and we’ll begin.
I would like you meet JH Glaze, an Author,
Artist, and Entrepreneur. He was born in Ohio and left to travel the country
looking for new opportunities. Eventually he landed in Atlanta GA, where
he lives with his wife Susan, who moonlights as his editor, 2 dogs and a
Senegal Parrot who hates, but tolerates him.
His writing includes the
paranormal/horror/thriller series 'The Paranormal Adventures of John Hazard'
which currently consists of 'The Spirit Box', 'NorthWest' and 'Send No
Angel'. The stories center around a main character, John Hazard, a former
police detective turned paranormal investigator. Many more adventures are
planned and readers are invited to "Stay Tuned".
JH Glaze has also developed a
short story series entitled The Horror Challenge, whereby he solicits his
readers for a word or phrase that he then uses to develop a short story. This
method of story development brings the reader into the creative process then
credits their story suggestion at the time of publishing. With the Novelettes, The Life
We Dream and Forced Intelligence, JH Glaze expanded his writing into realms of
paranormal romance and science fiction, while maintaining a compelling story
telling style. A new paranormal series, Rune adds yet another layer to his work
and he is excited about the future episodes of this serial novel which will be
released one thrilling episode at a time. A signature of his
writing style is a blend of humor and horror. He delights in giving the reader
something to savor in every story. When you are looking for something different
to thrill and entertain you, try a novel or story by JH Glaze.

Tell us a bit about yourself?
I am a relatively new author and have had a pretty good
run so far with 7 books currently available on Amazon.com. I have only been
writing for about 2.5 years, so I have a lot of work ahead of me.
How would you describe your books?
My books take the horror genre and mix in a little bit of
other genres to create stories that are usually unlike the type of stories you
would group under horror. This makes the stories more accessible to readers of
other genres outside of horror.
What Genre is your work mainly? Do you tend to stay in the same vein or are
you hoping (if not already) to explore new ventures?
As I said, mainly my stories are in the horror genre. I
did break out of it with my romance novella, The Life We Dream and I plan to
start a new project soon where I will ask my readers to give me a topic and
then tell me which genre to write the story for. I believe this will result in
some pretty interesting results
What inspired you to write your books?
My inspiration came from a desire to write and a few
ideas I though might make good stories. It was when I read a few wild books by
some other authors that I realized I could tell any stories I wanted without
being afraid to really be imaginative.
Tell us about the book cover?
Currently I do all of my own book covers. I really enjoy
trying to find just the right look to portray the content of the stories.
Who was the easiest character to write and why? Hardest and why?
The easiest character to write was Jack in The Life We
Dream. His feelings and thoughts reflect my own.
Are your characters based on real people? People you may know or TV/Movie
stars?
My characters are a compilation of people I have known in
the past and present.
Without giving anything away, what is/are your favorite scene(s) in your
books?
One of my favorite scenes is the final scene of
NorthWest. It set the tone for a relationship between two of my characters for
the third book.
Do you listen to music while you write your books, if so ... what songs?
I do listen to music, but no songs in particular. I
listen to all kinds of music.
What’s up next for you?
I have ideas for many more books and other projects where
I will write the ideas of my readers including a Horror Challenge Volume 4.
Is there anyone else besides you in your family who write?
My wife can write very well. Currently she edits my
books, but you will likely see something from her in the future.
Do you have any other Talents or hobbies other than your literary wand?
I‘m a good cook and I have previously recorded 3 CD’s of
original music.
What’s came first the chicken or the egg? Lol
Neither, first was the twinkle in the rooster’s eye.
Here could you give us a few words to people who haven’t yet read your books, sell your work ;)
If you haven’t read my work, I would suggest you try The
Spirit Box for reading a full novel. It is horror and very well reviewed. If
you like Romance, The Life We Dream will be a story that you will think of long
ater you read the last chapter.
Thank you for having me
as a guest. I hope to provide many more stories in the future for your
enjoyment.

In a harrowing tale of scientific experimentation on the fringe of possibility,
author JH Glaze takes you into the depths of the Hawks Mountain Defense
Development facility. There you will bear witness to the culmination of years
of work as scientific researchers Alex Conner and Donna Shafer initialize the
final stage of their intelligence enhancement project. Unknown to them,
while preparing the test subject for the experiment, negligence of a lab
assistant sets them on a course to disastrous confrontation.
As the clock ticks, the facility goes into lockdown. All communications
with the outside world have been severed, and the military is contemplating
total sterilization of the facility to avoid a catastrophic contamination of
the surrounding area.
With the help of an unlikely ally, the scientists race against all odds
in an attempt to stop the military and survive the ordeal before their time and
luck runs out.
Told in a timeline style, this story may challenge your views on animal
research and will have you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.
