Book Blurb…
This was supposed to be the best summer of Lauren’s life. It turns out to be the worst.
After Lauren wakes up in the hospital and learns that her boyfriend Ryan has died, her life slowly begins to unravel. She soon begins receiving mysterious text messages that make her wonder if his death was even an accident like everyone is saying. She finds herself leaning on Nick, her boyfriend’s best friend, for support. He tells her tidbits about Ryan’s life that make her wonder if she
even knew her own boyfriend at all. Now, she’s even more determined to learn the truth about Ryan’s death and she wonders who she’s able to trust. She starts confiding in her best friend, Bryn, until she remembers something about the accident that makes her wonder if she’s trusted the wrong person the entire time. She’s determined to get justice for Ryan, but can she do it without losing her best friends?

So tell everyone a little more about yourself?
I’m a former Southern California girl who came to the east coast for college, but fell in love and never left. I’m in my early thirties and have been married to the love of my life for five years. I hate housework with a passion, love flip flops, laying the sun and reading a good book that’s not my own.

What Genre is you work?
I don’t write just one genre. When I first started writing, I thought that I would enjoy writing romance  but now after starting a few different projects, I’ve changed my mind.

Do you tend to stay in the same vein or are you hoping (if not already) to explore new ventures?
As I said before, no I don’t. I’ve written Young Adult mysteries, romance novels and tried to write a time travel novel. That was one is still on my computer waiting for me to get back to it. I currently have four different ideas swirling around in my head that I want to start working on.

Are your characters based on real people? People you may know or TV/Movie stars?
I confess that yes, my characters are loosely based on people that I hung out in high school. I just hope that they can’t figure out who they are and get mad at me for it, hehe.

Without giving anything away, what is/are your favorite scene(s) in your book?
I liked writing the ending the best. I’d originally had a different ending, but then one morning I was sitting out on the porch with the laptop and it just hit me. After I wrote, I was even surprised at who the killer was. I hadn’t planned it that way, it just wrote itself.

If your book had a theme song, what would it be and why?
I’ll be Watching You by The Police. Lauren gets mysterious text messages from somebody who knows what happened to her ex-boyfriend, Ryan and knows Lauren’s every move.

Do you listen to music while you write your book, if so ... what songs?
Sometimes. I had a playlist for Catching You  that had everything from Nickelback to Taylor Swift’s Love Story on repeat.

What’s up next for you?
I’m working on editing my second novel, a new adult novel called Stealing Cynderella.

What inspired you to be a writer? Is there anything in particular that spurred you on? Writing is a form of stress relief for me. I love to  lose myself in the lives of characters that I’ve spun from my imagination and make them do things that I would never do on my own.

What’s came first the chicken or the egg? Lol
The chicken.

Do you have any favorite books or authors?
J.D. Robb, the pen name of Nora Roberts, Sara Shepard, Kim Harrison, Laurell K. Hamilton and Jennifer Weiner.

Are you working on anything else besides this?
I’m writing the first draft of a  prequel to Catching You, tentatively being called The Betrayal  and editing my second book, a new adult novel called Stealing Cynderella.
