Book Blurb… Some secrets change your life forever. Have you ever felt invisible? I do. Everyday. I can't get close to anyone, and people can't get close to me. Some secrets you're better off not knowing.

I had been found on a cold winter night with nothing but a blanket, and ashes covering my skin. My mother saved me from death, and took me in with love. But she couldn't save herself. I didn't think heroes were real anymore until the day Kaiden saved me. I couldn't believe in miracles until the day he revealed I was the miracle they had all been hoping for. Deep inside I always knew my past mattered.

I just didn't know my life would depend on it.

So tell us more with these little questions I’ve provided for ya; tell the peeps a bit more about yourself?

I was born and raised in Minnesota, the land of ten thousand lakes! The irony is I can't really swim, nor do I fish. I don't skate either. Or sled much. Crap, I'm starting to convince myself I'm in the wrong state… I DO like the Mall of America though. Right! That's why I live here. I enjoy hiking. Up until recently I was scared of dogs. Even puppies. True story.

How would you describe Flame?

I write what I love to read and that is YA and NA. I like sci-fi, magic and romance. "Flame: a Fireborn novel" definitely has sci-fi and magic in it. There's also some romance that will heat up even more in book two. I'm currently working on a NA contemporary romance right now, and as of yet it doesn't have sci-fi or magic, but it DOES contain lots of romance :)

Do you tend to stay in the same vein or are you hoping (if not already) to explore new ventures?

I like to write YA and NA., it's one of the best times of our lives!

What inspired you to write Flame?

Flame: A Fireborn novel contains magic and otherworldly creatures (aliens). Some inspirations include: other authors. Beautiful art. E.T. (kidding). The voices in my head (not kidding) :)

Who was the easiest character to write and why? Hardest and why?

The easiest character to write was Lenora and Chloris because they're a combination of people I know. The hardest to write was Rhys because he's got a mysterious past, a chip on his shoulder- and he's a glowing alien. I don't know too many people like that.

Without giving anything away, what is/are your favorite scene(s) in Flame?

I like the dream sequences that Kenna has. I especially like the beach scene :)

Do you listen to music while you write Flame, if so ... what songs?

I don't. I hear that most authors like music, but it's a HUGE distraction for me. I need silence and quiet, otherwise my flow gets interrupted.

What’s up next for you?

I'm working on a contemporary romance for adults that will release (hopefully spring or early summer). I can't give out any teasers BUT I have a little something on my blog you can check out!

What inspired you to be a writer? Is there anything in particular that spurred you on?

Oddly enough, READING inspired me to try writing. I love getting lost in people's words. There are a couple hundred little worlds inside my head so I decided to do myself a favor and let a couple out.

Is there anyone else besides you in your family who write?

No, but my dad is a song writer and writes exquisite music and lyrics about life, love, and tragedy.

So Mari other Talents or hobbies other than your literary wand?

Does running with short legs count? I can run pretty far with these little chicken legs of mine.

Lol in so many ways that can also be an advantage!!

Do you have any favorite books or authors?

You bet I do! There isn't enough time in a day to list them all. I love Jessica Sorenson, Erica Stevens, Anna Carey, Marissa Meyer, Veronica Rossi, Ella James…  and so many more!
