Well, what can I say other than Brilliant.

Poor Jess had no choice other than to survive and keep a roof over her and her families heads. Even if that meant she had to do the most unthinkable and degrading job for money.
No, she's not a Prostitute lol But close.

Jess is left to take care of her two younger brothers and four-year-old Daughter, while her mother drinks herself into a stupor and grinds up debt that Jess must pay off. Things weren't always like this. Before her older brother, Owen was sent down for Supplying a Class A Drug; he was the one who looked after them. So what else could Jess do? She has no qualifications, no experience and no time to spare. How was she going to keep her family afloat? The only way she could was at the Pleasure Palace.
With not much more to pay off from her sorry mother's debt and the return of Owen, Jess is aiming for the light at the end of the tunnel. She finally has help on the way. But not all is smiles when an old flame and Jess' daughter's father comes back to town and with him some serious secrets and lies. And Jess will soon learn that the secrets of life can make or break you.

Review: Deadly Past

I really enjoyed the storyline of Luke and Morgan. The development of the characters, attention to detail that surrounded their story were all vital in every step they took. I loved the twists and turns just as it should be - there shouldn't be any different from real life. Nothing is simple, and nothing is easy, but some time down the line things will get better. Or should I say: "Sometimes in life, you have to weather the storm. And when you do, there is always sunshine."

Well worth the read. I have enjoyed all of the Deadly Series but this one I think is my favourite. If you're looking for a cosy yet dangerous read, this is your go to.

I enjoyed this book, not just from an editor's point of view but a reader also. Phil has a brilliant eye for detail and punctuation. Everything he describes is fluent and gripping. I am a massive fan of Fantasy and Paranormal, as I too am a Paranormal Writer. However, Phil didn't fail to host a world of all things creeping in the darkness, watching you, stalking you, observing you, and all things that lurk from the depth for all things metaphysical. I can't wait for The Turning.

I am a big fan of the Angel's and Demons of this world. A beautiful concept of good and evil among the struggles of life and most importantly the fight for Love.

Amy is a troubled young woman - destructive. And rightfully so when you read about her life. Or lack of life. This poor woman has been through so much that she doesn't even know what's real anymore and when she's finally told what's real it's snatched away from her. But she fights for it, and she discovers things about herself that she never knew possible. A whole can of paranormal awesomeness in this story.

I wouldn't want to discriminate, but some scenes are not for younger readers, for people who suffer from some deep seeded depression. Only because of it's content and Amy's emotional struggles throughout the book - some readers might be susceptible to this type of content. It's not graphic that's not what I'm saying, but it pulls at your heartstrings. But it totally has some badassery :P
